1. A lot of things need to happen before the paper is distributed, people need to edit their stories and get more information on their stories and the people they interviewed before we are able to print the paper
2. Getting the story together is what takes the longest because people cant figure out who to interview or what to do.
3. Most of the stories are revised.

(1st quarter) November Star topic
For the November issue I think I am going to talk about fashion because thats something I have never done. I might interview my best friend Alex because she always has the prettiest stuff on and is always so nicely dressed.
(1st quarter) October Star Critique News Judgement
Title your post: October Star critique, News Judgment
October critique
Look through the October paper again.
1. I liked that shanna was on the photo opionion pictures because she is my best friend. I also liked all the pictures from spirit week. I disliked some of the photo opinion answers, most of them didnt make any sence.
2. I wrote the aricle on Gloria's pregnacy and helped with information on mentor moms. I also took some pictures on the Homecoming game and for spirit week. I love the October paper. Its very beautiful.
News Judgment
Read pages 58 - 62 in Journalism Today.
Read the 10/16/10 Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times stories on Dwayne Wade.
October Star
How did the adviser's news judgment result in "Homecoming lifts spirits" being the page one article?
Its related to school activities and it will definetly catch the eye of all the students who will be reading this.
Why was it placed above "Freshy Friday didn't break the piggy bank"? Why weren't the other news stories page 1 stories?
Probably because they both have to do with things that happen every year, and have to do with tradition and the students alone out side of school academics.
Why was the "Guitar club" story at the top of page 7 and "Ms. Ryan" beneath it?
It both has to do with teachers.
Dwayne Wade
What details and quotes were included in the Sun-Times article that weren't in the Tribune?
More about Dwane Wades wife was included in it.
What was the theme or angel of the story?

(1st quarter) Blog Post #1
The reporting expierence for me for the October draft is easy. Ive been reporting since my junior year so I have the hang of it already. I love reporting because you find out such interesting things about ordinary people.
